Follow up - because I'm actually interested in the kind of semantic mechanics of these messages, I took a closer look at McCain's tweet and realized it ran only 120 characters. On the possibility that this was in the interest of compatibility with some mobile protocol or the other out there, I took another whack at my revised version. It took another whole minute, but I got it down to 120 with the only casualty being the style getting a bit terse. I should probably try to market this skill or something...

Our brother David had a similar encounter with seemingly senseless will to live recently--a mouse savaged by Kismet and Madeline that escaped under a door to another room. There is a certain edge to the awareness the higher being blessed us with--sometimes I'm not surprised my students would rather plug their ears with tiny headphones and walk on.

I accidentally found this while searching for names for hydrochloric acid. The way you type reminds me of the way those automated spam bots type. What a strange blog. Vaguely interesting to read, but very confusing.

And I misspelled my email address out of paranoia of spam.
